About the Designer
Ashleigh is a highly skilled professional with a strong educational background in Arts and Social Practice. In 2020, he completed his Master’s degree in Arts and Social Practice with a focus on socially engaged arts. Throughout his academic journey, Ashleigh demonstrated an exceptional ability to utilise art as a tool for social change and community development.
Additionally, Ashleigh is a trained Masterweaver, having honed his weaving skills during his time at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD). Graduating with a 2:1 BDes Honours in 2012 in Textile Design, he showcased his creative flair and expertise in woven design.

Combining his knowledge in Arts and Social Practice with his weaving skills, Ashleigh brings a unique perspective to his work. Ashleigh’s exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively enable him to engage with a wide range of community-led projects, including artists, community organisations, museums, etc. He excels in developing and maintaining strong relationships to promote the success of his projects.
